Witness Box, 2012. 12 modified plastic TV’s with musical clockwork and added lighting, Linoprints.

Inspired by traditions of the graphic novel, Witness Box marries the aesthetics of a cheap plastic toy of questionable merit with miniature lino cuts into an animated chronicle. 12 different prints with added illumination move on a perpetual roll; the imagery was sourced from observations of public life in and around Exeter, gathered through life drawing, photography and video recordings over the course of one year. The musical theme consists of 12 variations of a well known modern children’s song. Awarded 3rd prize at Linolschnitt Heute, international competition for contemporary linocut,  Städtische Galerie Bietigheim-Bissingen, Germany.
